The Atlantic Salmon Interpretive Centre celebrates the wild Atlantic salmon, and is located just a few minutes from St. Andrews, NB (Canada).

The Centre is now closed for the 2011 season. Come visit in early June!

Atlantic salmon are magical creatures that can leap waterfalls 3.5m/11ft high, can return to native streams from ocean feeding grounds vast distances away, and have caught the imagination of humans for thousands of years.

Among the highlights of a visit to the Centre: seeing Atlantic salmon face-to-face, and learning about the very latest research taking place to unravel the mysteries of this iconic creature's existence.

The Atlantic Salmon Interpretive Centre is operated by the Atlantic Salmon Federation, an international non-profit organization with its headquarters near the Centre.

Friendly, knowledgeable guides are available to enrich your experience at the Atlantic Salmon Interpretive Centre. We hope to see you here soon.

Newsflash

Atlantic salmon, unlike their Pacific Ocean relatives, can survive spawning, and return to the ocean. This happens either directly after the fall spawning, or the fish can spend the winter in the river first - not eating and saving energy for the migration seaward to come in Spring.
